Accessory
Rotary attachment
Turns round objects under the laser so you can engrave tumblers, bottles, glasses and rings.
Which machines it fits
Universal — works with every machine we cover.
Why it matters
A flat-bed laser can only engrave a narrow strip of a curved surface before it drifts out of focus. A rotary replaces one axis of motion with rotation, so the design wraps around the object while the surface stays in focus. It is the accessory that unlocks tumblers, one of the best-selling engraved products.
What to look for
- Roller or chuck style: rollers suit straight cylinders and are quick to load; chucks grip tapered, handled or small items like rings more securely
- Diameter range that covers the items you plan to sell
- Official compatibility with your machine, or a standard connector your controller supports
- Clearance: many open-frame machines need a riser kit to fit a rotary and a tall tumbler underneath
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a rotary for tumblers?
Yes, for designs that wrap around the cup. Without one you can only engrave a small flat area.
Roller or chuck rotary?
Roller for straight tumblers and bottles; chuck for tapered cups, mugs with handles and small round items.
