Laser marking spray
A coating that bonds to bare metal, glass or ceramic under the laser, giving a permanent dark mark.
Which machines it fits
Universal — works with every machine we cover.
Why it matters
A blue diode laser can't reliably mark bare stainless steel, brass or glass on its own. A marking spray gives it something to absorb. Where the beam hits, the coating fuses to the surface; the rest washes off. It is how many diode owners make durable marks on metal tools, tags and bottles.
What to look for
- A product rated for your material: metal, glass or ceramic
- Even, thin coverage; thick coats give patchy results
- Clear drying and cleanup instructions
Frequently asked questions
Is a marking spray permanent?
When applied and lasered correctly it bonds to the surface and is very durable, including through washing.
Can I use paint instead?
Paint can help on glass for a frosted effect, but it doesn't bond like a marking product. For metal, use a dedicated marking spray.
